Vektor - Outer Isolation

Vektor's Outer Isolation from 2011 is back on Bandcamp, having just been added to the Earache Records Bandcamp. This is progressive thrash metal, obviously inspired by Voivod and their peers, but Vektor is not some re-thrash band oh no. Outer Isolation is filled to the brims with original riffs, and songs that move from intricate progressive playing to breakneck thrashing in the blink of an eye. Weird time signatures, banshee wails, eerie jazzy passages, over the top soloing; it has it all. The playing is phenomenal, Vektor is very confident sounding band. And they have produced a thrash record that is remarkably fresh sounding and also a lot of fun. Read the No Clean Singing review, and if you haven't checked out Vektor yet Jonathan Carbon from Chronicles of Chaos has these last words for you:
I have nothing more to say to you. We are going to the store and buying this record and a six pack of beer. It is going to be a long night, as we need to listen to this album three times in a row. Grab the keys, we need to go.
