Hazzard's Cure - Hazzard's Cure

Cover art by Lukas Krieg

Hazzard's Cure has been on my to-do list for a while, this review by Monkey Defies Gravity prompted me to do something about it. Hazzard's Cure seldom sticks to one style in a song, Monkey Defies Gravity calls it seriously stoned metal. I agree, but like The Number of the Blog I think the many transitions are seamless and natural and it's all very fucking metal.

  1. "It's all very fucking metal" - you can't argue with that!

  2. I bought their cd after having streamed it on bandcamp and I love it.

    I agree.
I don't hear it at all in the way that MDG does. I find that their music flows very well; I don't keep watch like that: "oh hey, they switched to sludge... oh, wait, now they're doing black metal..."
I just listen to the music and get carried away with it. If anything, I find their eclecticism an appealing attribute of their music.

  3. He does a good (and fun) job of describing the album even if he comes to the "wrong" conclusion.
