Oskorien's self-titled album is one of my Bandcamp favorites. This post by Kim Kelly reminded me to add it to the blog. She writes that Oskoreien
creates epic, nature-inspired atmospheric black metal in the vein of Altar of Plagues, Panopticon, Falls of Rauros, Agalloch ... Gorgeous expanses of fragile post-rock mix gently with the harshness and purpose of the album’s more blackened passages
Lurker's Path also have kind words about the album calling it "the solo black metal vehicle perfected."
I dunno. I liked him better when he was ripping of Ensiferum better. This post-rock trend hopping is kinda lame.
