Agnosis - A Painful Pattern

Doom/sludge heavyweights Agnosis have released their new EP A Painful Pattern, the followup to 2005's Hecate. The 2012 version of Agnosis still plays emotional and melodic doom a la Pentagram and Cathedral, but the sound has changed. It is now much more dense, the cliche "crushingly heavy" is actually quite fitting.

Here's an interview with guitarist/vocalist Austin and bassist Andrew Jude from Doommantia, where they discuss Hecate and it's successor. A little confusingly, Agnosis have enlisted Austin Lunn of Panopticon and Seidr fame as their new drummer, using his A. Lundr pseudonym.
